A floor plan that is accurate enough to build from
Many free floor plan apps are made for arranging furniture. Geoniks is made for planning a house: walls have real thickness and construction, lengths are exact, rooms know their area, and the plan turns into dimensioned drawings a builder can read. Because the plan is also a 3D model, you can check heights, roof and windows before anything is printed.
What you can do
- Exact walls — type 5.2, 520cm, 5<90 or @3,0; arrow keys lock the direction; F8 keeps it square.
- Rooms and areas — closed rooms show their area; move a wall and the rooms follow.
- Doors, windows and stairs — place them on walls with exact distances from the corners.
- Dimensions and tape measure — dimension lines go into the plan and the drawing set.
- 2D, 3D or split view — draw in 2D while the 3D house updates next to it.
- Drawing set — floor plans and elevations as PDF and DXF (with layers), materials list in Excel.
- Import — open a DWG, DXF, SketchUp or IFC file in the editor; PDF plans and photos are drawn for you by our team.

How to draw a floor plan in Geoniks
- Pick your country and start a blank plan — or start from a ready-made wooden house.
- Press R (rectangle), click the first corner and type 8,10 ⏎ for an 8 × 10 m house — or L to draw single walls and type each length.
- Add inner walls, doors and windows; rooms and their areas appear as walls close.
- Add dimension lines where you need them, and check the house in 3D.
- Export the drawing set (PDF / DXF / Excel) or request quotes from manufacturers.
